Creating a new Outlook profile in Desktop mail client Outlook

  1. Ensure that Outlook desktop mail client is closed.
  2. Open Control Panel.

  3. Ensure your view is either Large icons or Small icons, otherwise change it.

  4. Open Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016), or whichever version you have.

  5. Click Show Profiles... (This will display all profiles currently in your PC)

  6. To add a new profile, click Add...

  7. Enter a name for the new profile to be created, and click OK.

  8. Since we are already on Office 365, which is a Microsoft account, you may proceed to setup the email account without going through manual setup. 

  9. Follow instructions on the screen, and fill in whichever information required (Email Address, password etc.) and click Next

  10. After all green ticks appear, you would have finished setting up your email account in Outlook desktop mail client. Proceed by clicking Finish.

  11. If you have more than 1 email accounts setup, ensure that the correct profile is selected when you open outlook. Otherwise you may select the option Prompt for a profile to be used or you may delete other profiles if it is unused.
